Learning Model.

Learning Model.

Learning in the
real world.

We don’t do ‘classrooms’. Our aim is to engage you in real-world problems and opportunities. This means much more than an excursion to the museum. It implies a deep, meaningful and purposeful engagement in, with, and for the community.

We have a range of ready-to-go projects in what we call our ‘Hub of Opportunity’. Or we can help you to design your own project, based on your own interests and passions. If you don’t know what they are yet, that’s fine. You can explore these things in our ‘Imagination Factory’.

Projects, work ventures
& experiences.

Put simply, we want our students to do amazing things they didn’t know they could do!

Why? Because that’s where you discover new things about yourself. That’s where you start to let go of some self-limiting beliefs, and you begin to understand what you might truly be capable of.

And when we say ‘doing things’, we mean projects, work ventures and other experiences.

We don’t ‘do’ subjects, classes and classrooms. Our aim is to engage you in learning that is real and relevant to your own motivations, needs and interests.

SACE & VET

We believe that all of our students can and should achieve SACE and VET qualifications within our 18 month program. You might have a partially completed SACE, or maybe you left school in Year 9. It doesn’t matter either way.

The learning that you engage in during projects and other experiences feed into your SACE outcomes. The Cert III in Business that complements the (paid work) Work Venture Program contributes 60 credits to Stage 2 SACE. Individual Learning Plans are designed in consultation with you to make sure you have a clear plan to complete your SACE, and in a way that suits you.

Wellbeing in action.

One of the most unique aspects of our School design is our focus on your mental health and wellbeing.

As you will learn, we do this in a fully integrated way. We don’t treat wellbeing like a subject. It’s incorporated into everything we do.

The 'Dream Fund'

The goal of the Dream Fund is simple, and that is to provide our students with the opportunity to access funding that will support them in pursuing their goals in relation to further education, employment, or enterprise. Each student is able to access up to $1000. This can be for one large expense item (E.g Laptop, course fees, etc.), or for a range of costs up to that amount (E.g. Sewing machine & materials, business start-ups).
