Learning Model.

Learning Model.

Learning in the
real world.

We don’t ‘do’ subjects, classes and classrooms. Our aim is to engage you in learning that is real and relevant to your own motivations, needs and interests.

Our aim is to engage you in real-world issues and opportunities. This means much more than an excursion to the museum. It implies a deep, meaningful and purposeful engagement in, with, and for the community.

Project-based learning

Put simply, we want our students to do amazing things they didn’t know they could do!

Why? Because that’s where you discover new things about yourself. That’s where you start to let go of some self-limiting beliefs, and you begin to understand what you might truly be capable of.

Projects are an individual or collaborative exercise that are carefully planned to achieve a particular aim. Projects help us put our learning into action to practice and grow knowledge, attitude and skills.

Opportunities are a time or set of circumstances that make it possible to do something. Opportunities help us to harness our knowledge, attitude and skills. They help us to share our gifts in ways that create value (for ourselves and others).

Workshops are where a group of people engage in discussion and activity on a particular topic. They help us focus in on learning and developing specific knowledge, attitudes and skills.

We have a range of ready-to-go projects in what we call our ‘Hub of Opportunity’. Or we can help you to design your own project, based on your own interests and passions. If you don’t know what they are yet, that’s fine. You can explore these things in our ‘Imagination Factory’.

SACE & VET

We believe that all of our students can and should achieve SACE and VET qualifications within our 2 year program. You might have a partially completed SACE, or maybe you left school in Year 9. It doesn’t matter either way.

Wellbeing in action.

One of the most unique aspects of our School design is our focus on your mental health and wellbeing.

As you will learn, we do this in a fully integrated way. We don’t treat wellbeing like a subject. It’s incorporated into everything we do.
